Freebie Friday: Hayneedle Review and Giveaway

You know what I like?  Shopping.  Want to know what else I like?  The internet.  Also, convenience.  Probably three of my favorite things.  Using that logic, I would say that Hayneedle is the epitome of awesome.  Comprised of over 200 different stores, such as ewineracks.com and hammocks.com, Hayneedle prides themselves on their array of not only categories, but selections within the categories.  As the name suggests, they have such a wide variety of inventory that you can find your needle in the haystack, no matter what.

The folks at Hayneedle were kind enough to offer me an item to review, to determine their exact level of awesome.  This was no small task-I will say, however, it was four of the most entertaining hours I've ever spent looking a computer screen.  Seriously, I was shocked with the levels of inventory-totally crazy, in a good way!  I was impressed by the ease of navigating their website-with that much inventory, the shopping experience feels anything but cluttered.  You name it, they've got it, and it's easy to find.  And I?  Well, I wanted everything.

After eliminating The Backyard due to, well, my major lack of a backyard, and BabyBeddingGalore because we are SO NOT GOING THERE and ChocolateFountains.com because I figured my request of "one of everything, please" wouldn't go over very well, I settled on Benches.com, featuring-you guessed it-benches.  I had, in the corner of my mind, a picture of a rich espresso indoor storage bench, reminiscent of a hutch, that I could put cute baskets either on or in and place it under the large window in my living room and love it forever.

Well, I found it.

The Manhattan Storage Bench.  I love.  I LOVE.

The Manhattan arrived in a very timely manner, within a week of the order.  I wanted to tear right into it, but luckily I had the foresight to wait for Mr. Floren.  I was tempted to say that the assembly was very complicated, but my engineer husband assures me that no, it just calls for quality construction with good materials, which is much preferred to quick construction with cardboard.  Good call, Mr. Floren.

Once built, it was a beauty indeed.  It slid exactly into place where I wanted it.  The only problem is keeping the girls off of the poor thing-you know, since the world revolves around them, obviously this was created to line up baby dolls on top of and the cubbies to shove full of, well, anything.  The Manhattan took it like a champ.

Overall, I am completely satisfied with the Hayneedle experience as a whole, as well as the item I received.  On a scale of one to awesome, Hayneedle definitely earns an Awesome Plus.
