Coolest. Cake. Ever. I was so proud of this thing, and I had nothing to do with it except ordering it and writing a check. Shout out to Hillcrest Bakery in Bothell for doing a FABULOUS job!!
My baby, the Bugga Bugga Birthday Girl, is going to be three on Thursday. In honor of this momentous event, I will be writing a post in support of March of Dimes' Fight for Preemies campaign. November is Prematurity Awareness Month, and in conjunction with Bloggers Unite, are holding a blogging campaign tomorrow, November 17th. You can click here to view all of the posts. Mine, of course, will be found here. I plan on telling Katelyn's story, from a near miscarriage when I was six weeks along and a devastating diagnosis and recantation at 26 weeks; to my struggle in the hospital to stay pregnant, her subsequent delivery at 33 weeks and her journey to happy and healthy three year old. I will warn you, I'm going to be laying it all out there, and tears are possible. Just so you know.
Also in honor of the big day, we threw a Ghostbusters Birthday Party. Ghostbusters for a 3 year old girl's birthday party? I know it sounds strange, but the kid is obsessed. She also has days where she will only respond to me if I address her as "Dr. Venkman." She's the coolest kid ever! When she requested said birthday party, Hubs and I were only too pleased to comply.
We had green slime (banana pudding with food coloring), green slime jello shots for the adults, ecto-cooler (children and adult versions), twinkies, hot dogs (in honor of the hot dog stand Slimer flies out of in the first movie), and, did I mention, the coolest cake ever?

We also smacked a Slimer pinata,
